Auditions for “Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery”

The Copenhagen Theatre Circle will be holding auditions for its Autumn 2019 show, “Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery” by Ken Ludwig.
Baskerville will be directed by Kristian Husted and will run at Teaterøen from Oct. 9-12, 2019.

About the play:

The male heirs of the Baskerville line are being dispatched one by one. To find their ingenious killer, Holmes and Watson must brave the desolate moors before a family curse dooms the newest heir.

Ken Ludwig transforms Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic The Hound of the Baskervilles into a murderously funny adventure, done up in the style of The 39 Steps.

Rehearsals will be held from the first week of April until the performance in October.
Before the summer break (up to July): rehearsals will be on two weekday evenings a week (mainly Monday and Thursday) and two weekend afternoons a month.
After the summer break (from August): rehearsals will be three times a week.
2 weeks leading up to showtime: 5 times a week, but actors must be available every evening in the week leading up to showtime.

This is a very technical show in terms of acting, dependency of each actor on one another, physical comedy, costume changes and special effects, which is why the rehearsal process is pretty long. Please do not sign up to audition if you cannot commit to the rehearsal schedule.
