Something Wicked This Way Comes...
CTC is proud to announce that Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors by Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen will sink its teeth into Biblioteket Rentemestervej during the Halloween weeks of 2027.
We are also delighted to welcome Kristian Husted back to the director's chair after a short break. Audiences may remember Kristian's productions of The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Dale Wasserman.
A wildly inventive and laugh-out-loud reimagining of Bram Stoker's gothic classic, Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors blends razor-sharp wit, outrageous physical comedy, lightning-fast costume changes, and delightfully camp humour into a thrilling 90-minute theatrical ride. With just a handful of actors portraying dozens of unforgettable characters, it's a fresh, fast-paced comedy that has become a favourite with audiences across the Atlantic.
The play premiered Off-Broadway in New York in 2023 before making its West End premiere at London's Menier Chocolate Factory in 2025, where critics praised its exuberant energy, inventive staging, and irresistible comic spirit. Reviews have described it as "non-stop hilarity," "a scream," and "a gay, sexy, campy delight" that transforms a horror classic into an unforgettable comedy.
Originally produced in New York by Drew Desky and Dane Levens of Drew & Dane Productions, Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors was commissioned and originally produced by Maltz Jupiter Theatre, under the leadership of Andrew Kato, Producing Artistic Director/Chief Executive.
More information about the production, auditions, tickets, and our creative team will be revealed at the beginning of 2027.
Until then… keep an eye on the shadows.
