Play Reading Picnic in the Park

A one-night-only, summertime special!

Before our new season begins in August, we’re sneaking in one more play reading — this time under the open sky in Frederiksberg Have.

We’re calling it our Play Reading Picnic in the Park: a relaxed evening of storytelling, sunshine (we hope!), and summer vibes. Whether you’re a regular reader or totally new, you’re very welcome.

🎭 How it works

We’ll be reading a play together, out loud and on the spot — no rehearsal, no pressure.

We’ll provide the script. You can read a role or simply listen — it’s all part of the fun.

On the day, we’ll share the script via QR code and a short link, so just bring a phone or tablet that can open a PDF.

🧺 What to bring

  • A blanket, towel, or cushion for sitting on the grass

  • Snacks and drinks for yourself — or to share picnic-style

  • An umbrella or raincoat, just in case (this is Denmark…)

  • A good sense of humour and willingness to adapt!

🌦️ Watch for updates!

Copenhagen weather is famously unpredictable.

If it’s sunny, we’ll be in the park. If it’s a bit damp, we might huddle under umbrellas.

And if it pours, we’ll head to a nearby bar instead to chat and possibly read indoors.

We’ll announce our exact meeting spot in Frederiksberg Have closer to the date, and post live updates on the day itself.

So please keep an eye on our Facebook and Meetup pages.

Please register if you plan to come

Register to attend and get details on location (physical or digital) on our Meetup page or on Facebook.

Click “Going” or “Interested” so we know how many to expect — and so we can send you any updates.

Don’t worry if you decide last-minute — everyone is welcome, registered or not.

Come for the play, stay for the picnic, and enjoy an evening of theatre and togetherness in the Danish summer air!
